Sargent & Lundy is a leading engineering company seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to provide technical support in a professional services environment. The role involves leading quality assurance audits, collaborating with project teams on problem identification, and developing project quality plans, with some travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in and eventually lead and host quality assurance audits
- Work with project teams on problem identification and resolution
- Support during the procurement of engineered products and materials
- Assist project teams with the development and execution of project quality plans
- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in tasks including training employees
- Control purchased items and services
- Verification of effective corrective action
- Data analysis and trending
- Root cause analysis
Requirements:
- BS or MS from a Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board-accredited undergraduate program or a US based ABET-accredited program or related academic experience
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical reasoning
- Experience in quality in the nuclear industry or in another regulated industry
- Working knowledge and understanding of CSA, NQA, and ISO standards
- NQA-1 Audit Team Leader Certification
- Previous Quality Assurance Manager experience
- P.Eng license
