Role Overview
- Support the design, installation, maintenance, and optimization of conveyor systems across industrial and mining customers
- Specialize in supporting copper mining activities, ensuring safe movement of materials
- Inspect conveyor layouts, specifications, and component selections
- Perform belt calculations and system assessments
- Produce technical documentation
- Diagnose mechanical and process-related issues
- Perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions
- Support compliance with MSHA and site-specific safety protocols
- Monitor conveyor belt wear and recommend cover materials
- Troubleshoot spillage, misalignment, and high-impact issues
- Lead and support Field Service Engineers for shared learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field
- Experience with Troughed Conveyor Belt material handling systems
- Proficiency with conveyor calculation tools (e.g. Belt Analyst)
- Strong CAD understanding (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Mining experience is a plus, but not required
- Full driving licence is required as is the occasional need for interstate or international travel
- Written and spoken English a must
- Written and spoken Spanish would also be beneficial.
