Lead structural delivery across major industrial/mining projects , setting direction from concept to detailed design and construction support
Provide technical authority and assurance: design reviews, verification, risk management and governance across multiple projects
Manage and grow client relationships—acting as a trusted advisor on scope, options, risk, constructability and delivery strategy
Lead teams and mentor engineers, building capability, accountability and a high-performance, safety-focused culture
Drive commercial outcomes: scope/fee development, resourcing, programme planning, margin and risk management , and disciplined project delivery
Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces (civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, drafting/BIM) and align delivery with offshore/distributed teams where required
Support work-winning through proposals, tender strategy, partner engagement and identifying repeat opportunities.
Requirements
Significant experience leading structural design and delivery for industrial/mining infrastructure
Strong application of Australian Standards and local construction practices, including AS/NZS 1170 , AS 4100 , AS 3600 and relevant industry guidelines
Proven leadership capability: mentoring and developing engineers, coordinating multidisciplinary deliverables, and providing robust technical review/assurance
High commercial acumen with a proven record in work winning , client account leadership, fee/scope negotiation, delivery governance, and building repeat programs of work
Confident client-facing communicator able to influence owners, EPCM/EPC partners, contractors and vendors with clear, pragmatic advice
Degree qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering; Chartered (CPEng).
