Build and maintain strong relationships with Walmart buyers and internal cross-functional teams (Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Master Data/Customer portal teams, Legal, Customer Operations)
Lead annual planning processes to achieve revenue, profit, and market share goals across our House of Brands and private label for Walmart and Sam’s Club by conducting annual reviews, category strategy sessions, etc.
Leverages Lamb Weston, customer and industry/category data and insights to activate customer solutions.
Meet category distribution, shelving, pricing and merchandising goals
Manage trade budget judiciously to drive demand in the category
Monitor and report business performance using business analytical tools (WM Beats, Scintilla, Power BI NIQ toolset, etc.)
Develop accurate SKU-level forecasts in partnership with Commercial planning, demand planning/supply chain, finance and marketing
Implement corrective actions when needed
Monitor Walmart and Sam’s audit requirements with internal partners; ensure compliance within required dates
Serve as a trusted category advisor
Develop and/or execute innovative category strategies and initiatives related to branded and private label product mix and new items using multiple data sources (NIQ, LW research, Scintilla, etc.)
Work with Retail marketing and agency partners to optimize online item set up, content optimization, promotional planning, and traffic/conversion campaigns
Reconciles company and customer financial objectives in creating and revising business plans and budgets
Develops and delivers major opportunities, which have significant impact at the highest levels in the organizations
Works independently with general direction from the Senior Director of RBU Sales, Category Leadership and Marketing in terms of corporate objectives and priorities
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
7+ years of CPG sales experience
Minimum 5 years working with Walmart & Sam’s Club (deep understanding of the tools and engagement approach across multiple functions)
Ability to use a variety of computer technologies and tools including Microsoft Suite, Power BI, Domo, and Salesforce.com
Strong written and verbal skills and ability to negotiate
Ability to read, write and speak in English required
Bilingual skills are desirable
Strong business management skills, including financial management skills and a strategic mindset
Ability to travel independently up to 50% of the time, valid U.S. driver’s license, and ability to meet Company driving standards
