Design, develop, and optimise graph database solutions using technologies such as Neo4j, AWS Neptune, or similar platforms
Build scalable backend applications using Java and/or Kotlin
Develop and optimise graph queries using Cypher, SPARQL, and related technologies
Design data models for complex business domains and interconnected datasets
Develop and integrate microservices and RESTful APIs
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions
Improve database performance, reliability, and scalability
Support large-scale data ingestion and transformation pipelines
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices

8+ years of software engineering experience
Strong hands-on experience with Java and/or Kotlin development
Proven expertise with Graph Database technologies including Neo4j, AWS Neptune, or equivalent platforms
Strong understanding of graph query languages such as Cypher and/or SPARQL
Experience with data modelling and complex data structures
Experience designing and implementing Microservices Architectures
Strong REST API development and integration experience
Experience working within AWS or other cloud environments
Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Amsterdam
