Role Overview

Ensure the implementation, structuring, and development of the mining operation, converting mineral resources into safe, efficient, and profitable production through integrated management of mining, beneficiation, ore quality, personnel, equipment, costs, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the execution of the mine's environmental permitting processes, ensuring adherence to schedules, regulatory requirements, and conditions established by the competent authorities.
Coordinate and monitor technological and mineralogical characterization of the ore, ensuring reliable technical data to define the processing route and operational feasibility.
Manage and monitor mineral drilling campaigns aimed at supplementing geological data, supporting the amendment of the Final Research Report (Relatório Final de Pesquisa — RFP), and advancing mining processes with the National Mining Agency (ANM).
Coordinate topographic surveys and drilling campaigns intended for tonnage and volume estimation and for updating mineral resource and reserve models.
Participate in the conceptual and technical definition of the crushing and beneficiation plant, contributing to operation sizing, equipment specification, and development of production infrastructure.
Support the structuring of the mining operation from its pre-operational phase, ensuring integration between geological studies, permitting, engineering, infrastructure, and production planning.
Coordinate the definition and implementation of the mine's operational structure, including processes, procedures, resources, team sizing, and readiness for start-up.
Manage mining, beneficiation, and ore quality operations, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and compliance with production plans.
Ensure management of operational assets, equipment performance, and optimization of operational resources.
Coordinate mine planning, operational geology, quality control, and the development of the mining operation.
Manage costs, contracts, and performance indicators, promoting operational efficiency and business profitability.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements as well as mining regulations.
Lead operational teams, developing personnel, management routines, and a high-performance culture.

Requirements

Over 10 years of experience in iron ore mining operations.
Proven experience in management of mining operations, beneficiation, and mineral quality control.
Experience leading multidisciplinary operational teams.
Experience in budget management, operating costs, and performance indicators.
Experience in implementing, structuring, or expanding mining operations.
Experience in managing contracts and mining suppliers.
