Role Overview

Plan and deliver Nutrition Program activities and provide support for women who are pregnant or have babies less than one year of age.
Organize cooking groups for pregnant women and young parents.
Select or help women select nutritious recipes.
Shop for healthy groceries and snacks ensuring required cooking equipment and supplies are readily available.
Plan special activities and educational talks for a pregnancy/parenting support group, including sessions on healthy eating, breastfeeding support, infant nutrition, and healthy living.

Requirements

Minimum Grade 8 education.
Basic cooking skills with ability to follow recipes.
Ability to lead group information sessions.
Good organizational skills.
Good computer skills.
Cultural awareness of local community.
