Sedgwick is a leading claims management services company dedicated to supporting individuals facing unexpected challenges. The Business Development Manager role focuses on driving top-line growth through relationship building and sales development within the middle market business segment.
Responsibilities:
- Identifies, develops and maintains internal and external relationships/partnerships
- Builds relationships with brokerage contacts to define prospect lists
- Facilitates the development of new partnerships and the Company; facilitates and remains involved in the implementation process ensuring smooth transition of new client programs
- Develops the detailed knowledge of individual prospect operations targeting specific needs which may be filled by Company programs
- Ensures the identification of expertise required to address individual prospect requirements; identifies resources for prospect solicitation and service teams
- Utilizes the appropriate regional and national resources to facilitate response and pricing for Requests for Proposal (RFPs), proposals and presentations
- Implements an annual sales and service plan including identification of potential client prospects, their needs, and the methodology of presenting the Company's ability to fulfill those needs
- Updates client and broker records in CRM
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Supports the organization’s quality program(s)
- Travels as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
- Licenses as required
- Possession of, or progress towards, CPCU and/or ARM designation required
- Eight (8) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include two (2) years of B2B sales experience within TPA claims management or insurance brokerage
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products

- Bachelor's degree with major in Business Administration, Finance or Risk Management preferred
