
OutSystems Technical Support Engineer
Location: Waukegan, IL (Onsite)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced OutSystems Technical Support Engineer to provide operational and technical support for the OutSystems platform. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining platform health, supporting multiple business-critical applications, troubleshooting issues, coordinating upgrades, and collaborating with project teams to ensure smooth application operations and deployments.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Support & Maintenance
Provide technical support for the OutSystems platform hosting multiple applications and active projects.
Monitor platform health and ensure optimal system performance and availability.
Execute application deployments and environment configurations.
Coordinate and support OutSystems platform upgrades and patch installations.
Monitor server resources and environment utilization.
Incident Management & Troubleshooting
Triage, investigate, and resolve support tickets within defined SLAs.
Monitor application and platform logs to identify runtime issues.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug application and platform-related problems.
Perform root cause analysis and recommend preventive measures.
Development & Code Quality
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to OutSystems development best practices.
Collaborate with development teams to resolve technical issues and improve application quality.
Review and address issues identified in Service Center and LifeTime.
Monitor and resolve issues reported in Mentor Studio/Service Studio environments.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with project teams, application owners, and support teams across multiple business domains.
Provide technical guidance regarding platform capabilities, deployments, and performance optimization.
Participate in change management and release activities.
Communicate platform status, risks, and issue resolutions to stakeholders.
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in OutSystems 11 development and platform administration.
Good understanding of OutSystems architecture, Service Center, and LifeTime.
Strong SQL knowledge and database troubleshooting skills.
Experience with deployment management and environment configuration.
Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot runtime issues.
Knowledge of OutSystems development standards and best practices.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience developing and/or supporting OutSystems 11 applications.
Experience performing OutSystems Platform Upgrades.
Experience supporting production environments and handling incidents.
Experience collaborating with multiple project teams across different business domains.
Preferred Qualifications
OutSystems Associate Reactive Developer or Professional Certification.
Experience with performance tuning and application monitoring.
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and release management practices.
Experience in enterprise-scale OutSystems environments.
