Granicus is a company focused on transforming the Govtech industry through innovative technology solutions. They are seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Product Management to lead a team in developing actionable product strategies and driving innovation across their suite of solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Define and Drive Strategy: Translate Granicus’s 3–5 year vision into a clear, actionable product roadmap aligned with business goals, customer needs, and financial outcomes
- Lead and Inspire: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, continuous improvement, and effective use of AI in product discovery, delivery, and decision-making
- Own the Roadmap: Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, customer value, and technical feasibility. Make informed trade-offs to maximize ROI and product profitability
- Champion the User: Advocate for user-centric design and data-driven decision-making. Leverage analytics, customer feedback, and market research to guide product direction
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Engineering, Design, Implementation, Support, Customer Success, and Sales to ensure seamless product delivery and go-to-market execution
- Drive Operational Excellence: Establish and refine product management processes, tools, and best practices to scale product development effectively
- Be a Thought Leader: Represent Granicus externally and internally as a product evangelist, articulating our vision and value proposition to stakeholders and customers, and helping shape how AI can responsibly accelerate product strategy, execution, and customer impact
Requirements:
- 5+ years in product management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Proven success managing and scaling product teams in an Agile environment
- A servant-leader mindset with a track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams
- Ability to connect the dots between market trends, customer needs, and business objectives to craft compelling product strategies
- Skilled at breaking down complex problems into clear, actionable plans
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities
- Exceptional communicator who can influence across all levels of the organization, from engineers to executives
- Demonstrated ability to lead AI adoption within product organizations, including coaching Product Managers to use AI tools effectively for research, prioritization, writing, experimentation, and team productivity
- Demonstrated ability to drive product success and profitability through strategic planning and execution
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Math) or equivalent experience
- MBA is a plus
- Experience working in a private equity-backed environment is a strong plus
- Experience in Agenda Management, Video Streaming, and Records Request markets for SaaS products
