1Password is a leading cybersecurity company that focuses on enhancing digital safety and productivity. They are seeking a Senior Staff Product Marketing Manager to lead product marketing for AI-focused products, shaping the narrative and strategy around identity security solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Full-Stack Product Marketing for AI-focused products
- Own the messaging, positioning, and launch strategy for our AI identity security products around secrets management, access management and more
- Define the market narrative that reframes 1Password around how developers and AI builders actually work in the age of AI and automation
- Tell the story simply: to analysts, customers, sellers, and SEs
- Connect our AI strategy to the Unified Access story
- Ensure 1Password’s AI-focused capabilities have a clear and compelling presence within the 1Password Unified Access story
- Build and own the narrative that shows how runtime credential delivery, agent discovery, agent governance etc. give IT and security teams real visibility and control over non-human access, while removing friction for developers and AI builders. The secure path should be the easy path
- Work alongside the broader PMM team to ensure the platform story comes together
- Build Competitive Intelligence and Category Positioning
- Partner with the Solutions Marketing team to develop validated competitive differentiation in the AI identity security market, while owning the positioning and market leadership claims
- Build the field-ready positioning and enablement that gives Account Executives and Sales Engineers a clear, confident answer to why 1Password wins in any room they walk into
- Identify where the market is moving before the market announces it, and help stake 1Password's claim early
- Enable the Field with Tools That Actually Get Used
- Create discovery presentations, battlecards, objection handling docs, and technical briefs that give sellers and SEs confidence to lead with 1Password AI solutions
- Take technically complex concepts like PAM, agentic identities, secrets management, zero-knowledge architecture, etc. and translate them into content that is easy to understand, repeat, and use confidently in customer conversations
- Surface signals from sales engagements that accelerate deals and turn them into repeatable field motions across the GTM organization
- Influence Organizational Strategy and Roadmap
- Contribute input to the development of organizational objectives and the product roadmap
- Serve as the voice of the field, surfacing what customers and prospects actually need, backed by evidence: verbatim conversations, analyst intelligence, field feedback, competitive signals
- Be a trusted strategic advisor to product management and senior marketing leadership
- Mentor and elevate colleagues across the organization. At this level, raising the craft of the team around you, through feedback, frameworks, and how you show up in collaborative work, is an expectation, not a nice-to-have
- Be a Trusted Voice: Internally and Externally
- Establish strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers. Network to influence high-level category decisions and advance organizational objectives
- Engage in analyst briefings, strategic customer conversations, and thought leadership moments where 1Password's position in the market gets defined. Write bylines, blog posts, talk tracks, keynote content: wherever the story needs to be told, you can tell it with authority and presence
Requirements:
- 8+ years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience, with strong depth in Secrets Management, Privileged Access Management, or non-human identity; plus you understand how AI agents are reshaping identity security requirements
- Hands-on experience marketing PAM, secrets management, or credential governance solutions
- Strong understanding of how identity security needs to evolve to support developers, and AI-builders
- Ability to market technically complex, infrastructure-level products to two very different audiences: security leaders and engineers, without losing the message for either
- Track record in competitive markets where winning meant unseating incumbents or reframing a category, not just occupying one
- Understanding of what runtime credential delivery looks like, why long-lived secrets are a structural problem, how secrets brokering works architecturally, and what zero-knowledge encryption actually means in practice
- Working knowledge of the developer toolchain: IDEs, GitHub Actions, CI/CD platforms, and the secrets management patterns that surround them
- Use AI agents as a force multiplier, knowing which tasks to hand off and which to own
- Ability to differentiate between output that's ready to publish and output that still needs your judgment applied to it
- Ownership of the ideas you bring, AI-assisted or not, with the ability to back up recommendations with strategy, data, and a clear point of view
- Ability to write at a senior level for multiple audiences
- Strong narrative instincts: opening with a problem, building tension, and landing on a solution in a way that makes the buyer feel like the product was built for their exact situation
- Influenced category narratives, not just contributed to them
- Establish strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers
- Engage in analyst briefings, strategic customer conversations, and thought leadership moments
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+, or similar), demonstrating genuine domain investment
- Experience developing thought leadership strategy in a fast-moving technology category
- Experience repositioning an established product category
