About this role
Role Overview
Contribute to achieving Operational results by analyzing NAM reports issued and acting based on their information, developing Repair Projects for each piece of equipment and monitoring their execution, following International Standards and MODEC’s guidelines and philosophies, and developing/monitoring/analyzing appropriate KPIs and meaningful statistics and establishing suitable actions to eliminate bottlenecks, promoting continuous improvement.
Support the vessels’ POB plan, providing AMCs with requested information on design solutions and work plans.
Maintain equipment availability in accordance with the maintenance plan through maximum compliance and economically efficient operation and maintenance, preparing or supporting the preparation of RFQs and IHRs for Repair Projects, as well as validating POs for the Supply Chain area, and identifying execution improvements and opportunities to reduce backlog.
Support the MdB expense and investment budgeting for the Project Engineering Department, providing information based on prior experience, maintenance history, technical knowledge and market best practices, and mapping risks to support management decisions.
Act proactively to protect MODEC from non-compliance with legal/regulatory requirements and technical standards, complying with all technical specifications and procedures related to the scope of the Project Engineering Department, attending internal/external audits and creating action plans to correct non-conformities.
Ensure operational technical alignment by participating in and organizing, when requested, technical review meetings with the client.
Provide adequate technical assessment of potential service providers for pre-qualification, developing a detailed technical scope of work to support the Purchasing team in the tendering process, as well as evaluating and approving technical proposals for these tenders. Technically approve contract extensions and be responsible for the contracted supplier during the planning, execution and closeout of the service, supporting AMCs in approving reports and BMs.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the IMS by tracking and updating project status and by updating and monitoring the implementation of IMS documents within the scope of the Project Engineering Department.
Understand and follow company objectives, policies and procedures and the integration with clients, the community and suppliers, reading relevant documents and interacting with superiors to clarify any doubts.
Contribute to alignment with the client in technical discussions, supporting the manager and the AMCs in interaction with SPC representatives and specialists, providing technical analyses and adding technical expertise to the discussion.
Provide technical support to all Tiers and to other MODEC offices and units worldwide, resolving issues or doubts, for example by responding to MOCs, TQs or making recommendations from RCAs and performing safety studies upon request.
Contribute to capturing lessons learned for future development and improvement of EPCI projects, adequately documenting and preparing closeout reports on issues related to the scope of the Project Engineering Department.
Support new projects in their BID, EPCI and Pre-Operations phases by providing technical information based on operational experience, when requested.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is mandatory – Naval, Structural or Mechanical.
Postgraduate study in areas related to Project Management is a differential. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
CREA registration mandatory.
PMP certification is expected.
MS Project.
Experience in Project Management.
