Role Overview
- Design and develop the infrastructure and services that power AI products
- Work closely with Applied Scientists to bridge the gap between experimentation and real-world impact
- Help take models from research environments into reliable, scalable production systems
- Build systems that sit at the heart of Xero's AI capabilities
- Collaborate with globally distributed teams across engineering, science, product, and analysis
Requirements
- Strong coding skills in Python
- SQL proficiency and familiarity with distributed processing frameworks such as Spark or Dask
- Hands-on experience with ML tooling — frameworks like MLFlow, TensorFlow, or PyTorch, and orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect
- The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- An interest in how LLM technologies can be applied to real product challenges
